I'm not shortlegged, overweight nor retired... but I'm bald ! I wanted the Savage because I wanted a big single with electric start. I had a Yamaha SR 500 (single) with kickstart and carb-problems, so I got enough of kicking. I also liked the beltdrive. I think that low price compared to ok quality is found in this bike. It is rather easy to find parts if you want to customize the Savage. And we have this great Forum !! The Savage has definitely enough power for touring, if you are a true biker who wants to go along narrow, windling countryroads enjoying what you see and smell, and not the highway-freaks who want to get as fast as possible from point A to point B. The speed limits are there for us to follow, and the Savage for sure has no difficulties to keep up with the rest of the traffic. If you say it has too little power, your penis must be veryvery small...
When getting yourself a Savage, you will realize that "less is more".
All good things. Peter.
